Our nursing team provides high-quality medical care, 24 hours a day supported by local partnerships with GPs, opticians, dieticians, dentists and other health care professionals.
Our well-qualified nursing team get to know our residents well and are quick to spot and respond to variations in health and wellbeing.
Through our commitment to meeting the social, physical, mental and spiritual needs of each resident, we use positive techniques to calm challenging behaviour and reduce the anxiety that is often associated with dementia.
Working closely with our residents and their families to understand changing and complex individual needs. Regular catch-ups with residents’ families and monthly group family meetings are part of our responsive culture.
Our activities programme will include something for all interests – including music and movement, reminiscence, pamper sessions, arts and crafts, gardening and regular trips.
Linking with our local community will be central to our ethos, ensuring that residents will benefit from partnerships with local organisations, schools and charities.
At Wentworth Manor, our ethos is to care for our residents as we would our own families.
Our dementia strategy underpins our ethos of holistic, individualised care, for residents with all types of dementia diagnosis and at all stages of their dementia journey.
We engage with programmes developed by world-renowned experts at the Alzheimer’s Society, Positive Approach to Care and Bradford and Stirling University.
Wentworth Manor will be an independent home, so we can be responsive (and less bureaucratic) in our approach to providing high-quality care.
The Wentworth culture is inclusive, where every resident is respected, and every opinion encouraged.
